This system still runs beautifully- AutoCad 2003, WordPerfect 7, Corel Graphic Suite 7,Office 2003- and the ZIP drives containing hundreds of files with DOS extensions. But its lackluster interface software and heavy competition from hard-drive-based players rendered it unsuccessful. This pocket-size portable MP3 player used 40 MB PocketZip disks as media. One of its most notable items remains the HipZip (2001). The ZIP 100 drive was a revelation in the previous century, I have a 1998 Dell T700R (PIII 750MHz, 768MB RAM, 30 and 80GB drives on SCSI 66 controller) running Windows XP and with a ZIP 100 drive.-That's what $2,600 bought in 1998. >you are supposed to use in a DOS/Win environment to format a Zip disk is >the OEM Iomega software. Iomega tried several times to build on the Zip technology and brand, and diversify its product line. The other possibility is that there were external ZIP drives that were USB and that would avoid the parallel port driver problem. Drivers below are for the Zip 100, Zip 250, Zip 750 are below for Parallel, USB, SCSI,IDE & PC Card interfaces. If the linked driver doesn't work and the files are very important, I wonder if it would be possible to run a Windows XP as VM and download the files. Hi I have an external hard drive of 500Gb from iomega, and it stopped working recentely. Iomega DHD160-U, Prolific PL-2507 (modified firmware). Here is a download site for an Iomega ZIP 100 driver that lists supporting Windows 7: Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2003 (with restrictions), Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10. Have new HP All-in-One Pavillion running Windows 10 and it sees the drive on the network but when I tried to open it, it gives me the following: STORAGE-BA46 is not accessible. I've visited the following page and associated links without success I have an Iomega Model MDHD360-N that is currently on the network and I can access from my old computer running Windows 7. When I connect my old Iomega ZIP100 to my PC running Windows 7, all the lights are on but no one's home!ĭo I need to install a driver? If so, I would be very grateful if someone can provide me a link for a free download.
